FELIPE FOGOLIN
Owner & Head Instructor
Triunfo Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and NoGi Jiu Jitsu is nothing short of an elite, world class experience under the instruction and guidance of 3x Black Belt World Champion and Pan Ams Champion, Professor Felipe Fogolin. Professor Fogolin first earned a black belt in Judo in his home country of Brazil, and then gained his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt under Professor Cleber Luciano of Cleber Jiu Jitsu and MMA in Huntington Beach, CA.
Professor Felipe Fogolin’s unique combination of Judo and BJJ he has earned a reputation for being an elite competitor within the IBJJF circuit, EBI, and Fight2WinPro. It takes only one class for anyone to realize that you cannot be too new to learn from him, nor can you be to experienced to improve your game. He teaches fundamental, yet innovative techniques with a sense of heart and passion that flows through him to his students. He will push you to tap into your greatest potential and you will find yourself inspired by his humility and kindness.
CHELSIE FOGOLIN
Owner, Membership Specialist, & Youth Instructor
Since joining TRIUNFO JIU JITSU & MMA in 2012, Chelsie has helped to grow and create an amazing member experience for students. She has spent a decade working in various departments of the gym and fitness industry and brings all of her experience in superior customer service to Triunfo.
In November of 2015 Chelsie received her Blue Belt in Jiu Jitsu under Professor Felipe Fogolin. In February of 2017 she took the Youth Program under her wing and has since become a staple on the mat for our Youth Jiu Jitsu & Muay Thai.
Chelsie looks forward to improving herself as a practitioner, a competitor, and a coach on her journey to a Black Belt.
TERRI & DANE GRACE
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Instructors & "Team Parents"
TRIUNFO JIU JITSU & MMA is honored to have the presence of such dedicated students and coaches as Terri & Dane. These two have come to be lovingly referred to as "Team Mom" and "Team Dad" due to their dedication to the growth and success of the team, as well as their focus on individual students' progress.
The Grace's received their Black Belt from Professor Felipe Fogolin in January of 2019, with Terri being the first of Professor Felipe's Black Belts to have made the journey with him all the way from White Belt. Both Terri and Dane actively compete in the IBJJF circuit and immerse themselves in the SoCal Jiu Jitsu Community.
Students of any level can benefit from Dane's 6AM Intensive Jiu Jitsu classes, and more experienced students can enjoy a class under both Terri and Dane's instruction on Sunday mornings for our Competition Class (Invite Only).
KEVIN YIP
Muay Thai Instructor
TRIUNFO JIU JITSU & MMA has had the pleasure of having Coach Kevin on the mats now for almost a year. He comes to Triunfo from the affiliate schools of Cleber Jiu Jitsu & MMA and Classic Fight Team.
Kevin is sought out and handpicked by many top ranking MMA, Muay Thai, and Kick-boxing professionals to support their behind the scenes efforts during fight camps. He has an eye for detail and always goes the extra mile for any student who demonstrates a desire to improve their craft.
Triunfo students can enjoy an All Levels Muay Thai class by Kevin Tuesday and Thursday at 8PM.
ROBERT LOPEZ
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Instructor
Robert Lopez comes to Triunfo with a unique dedication. He was the first of Professor Felipe's students within his own academy. Since training under Felipe beginning in 2011, Robert has received his Black Belt in January 2019.
TRIUNFO JIU JITSU & MMA appreciates the unique approach Robert takes to supporting students on the mat. He has brought his literal family into the academy and is known to make newer students feel as if they have a second family here at Triunfo. Robert has competed in both Jiu Jitsu and MMA, and is most recently coming off a dominate performance with Fight2WinPro in February of 2018.
Robert's classes are a great place for students of any level to progress their game. He coaches Sunday mornings at 10:30AM.
TYLER SMITH
Muay Thai Instructor
2018 is finally the year that TRIUNFO JIU JITSU & MMA is happy to welcome Coach Tyler Smith for Muay Thai. Tyler has been a big part of the Triunfo family as a student, substitute coach, and MMA competitor.
Coach Tyler is an accomplished wrestler and Professional MMA Fighter. He is a sought out training and sparring partner for many of UFC's and Bellator's top names during their training camps. Coach Tyler has a unique approach to conditioning and training that has Triunfo students coming back for more.
PRESTON SURCH
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Instructor
TRIUNFO JIU JITSU & MMA is proud to have Preston on the mats as our Fundamental Jiu Jitsu Coach. He began his journey in Jiu Jitsu under Professor Felipe Fogolin in 2013 and is currently a Brown Belt.
Preston has a talent for capturing the important details of fundamentals and relaying them to students of any ranking. His class is a great place for student to develop confidence in their talents and prepare for the All Levels trainings.
SCOTT BROMMAGE
Youth Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Instructor
Loved by students and staff alike, Scott has been teaching with knowledge, enthusiasm, and dedication at our academy for years. We are so fortunate to have his experience with special needs youth throughout the community.
Scott is currently a Brown Belt under Professor Felipe in Jiu Jitsu and is a highly skilled and focused Muay Thai practitioner. Scott actively compete in local Jiu Jitsu tournaments, as well as professional MMA bouts.
ADAM ROMAN
Youth and Fundamental Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Instructor
Adam is a Brown Belt with TRIUNFO JIU JITSU & MMA and has been coaching with us for a little more than a year. His patient and focused nature has made him a huge asset in our Youth and Fundamentals program.
Student's appreciate his real-world, self-defense perspective on Jiu Jitsu during our Friday evening 5:30PM Fundamentals Class. Adam takes the time to be sure each student is grasping the technique and improving week by week.
CHRIS STARK
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Instructor
TRIUNFO JIU JITSU & MMA was honored when Chris approached Professor Felipe as an already accomplished Brown Belt in 2016. He has since gone on to earn his Black Belt with Triunfo and he now teaches our Saturday Morning Jiu Jitsu Lab at 11AM.
Chris' class is unique in that he is always open to hear about what you're doing well with, as well as where you're struggling on the mats - hence the class name, Jiu Jitsu Lab. His class varies between Gi and NoGi as Chris feels it's very important that you know what adaptations to make in either scenario. Students love Chris' approachable nature and have come to learn he can be approached for help at any time.
